The trade consisting Chauncey Billups and other fellow teamates from the Detroit Pistons for Allen Iverson was one of the most biggest/shocking trades in 2008. Allen Iverson a well known superstar in the NBA has traveled from Philadelphia to Denver and now in Detroit, taking Billups main role as the leader of the Detroit Pistons. It was a hard thing to adjust to for both teams especially the Pistons because Billups lead them to a World Championship in 2004.
The major key is what is the impact of this trade, because as Pistons are still struggling to find they're main streak of winning or losing they seem to be doing both not officially acquired to doing one certain thing they want which is winning. On the other hand the Nuggets are doing really good with Billups on the starting lineup leading them to 30 wins and 16 losses and Pistons being only having 25 wins and 19 losses. But standings don not always matter since the Detroit Pistons have beaten the Denver Nuggets on January 9, 2008 with a win of 93-90 and both traded players on the starting lineup.
I was, am, and always will be a fan of the Detroit Pistons but this season I am not really sure what the outcome for upcoming playoffs will be. Iverson was always a superstar in the NBA but is that what Detroit Pistons really need to lead them to another World Championship; because Billups was not quite known as a superstar more like a humble leader for victory and he did lead the Pistons and defeated Kobe and Shaq's Lakers as underdogs. There are many opionions on this matter but it is only a matter of time before we shall see who really is the best of both teams implicated in this trade.
